Review of the ASUS G74SX-A2

The Asus G74SX-A2 is powered by a Core i7-2630QM processor which is capable of 2GHz. The screen size is 17.3” with TFT capabilities. The quoted price is $2,399 which some people might consider to be too expensive. In this review we consider whether the specifications of the product justify the pricing strategy that has been selected. At the same time we consider the possibility that you could get a better deal elsewhere. It has become common practice for the gaming notebooks to come with SSD drivers. This has meant that other specifications are compromised and managed slightly differently. Gaming is particularly important for the consumers that see this gadget as a means of entertainment.

Specifications:  A review of the Asus G74SX-A2 cannot fail to take into account the connectivity features as well as the generic functionality that consumers expect when they part with that kind of money. For example the solid state drive is quite important for the performance of the unit as a whole. They have included high end graphics cards which complement the processor perfectly. The RAM readings are more than accurate for the average consumer. In fact you will notice that they now have a large regular hard disk drive whose function is to cover the gap that was left by the SSD slot. The graphics card that they are using at the moment is the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M. Although you can probably find more powerful tools on the market, this is perfectly capable of running popular games such as DiRT 3.
