MOFPS Debut a Trailer Call of Duty Online (Tencent China)

There has been news coming from Call of Duty online. Apparently MOFPS is in the process of introducing a trailer (Tencent China). Further information about the update can be found at FPSReport.com. A modified version was developed by Activision. There was also excitement in the gaming circles when Activision Blizzard and Tencent announced a long term strategic relationship which is meant to ensure that gamers can enjoy the game in China.

  • A gaming extravaganza: An official press release indicated that Activision Blizzard Inc. had decided to work with Tencent Holdings Ltd. The former is the largest 3rd party interactive entertainment software publisher according to NASDAQ (ATVI). The latter is the leading internet service provider in China. The two are working to ensure that Chinese players can enjoy Call of Duty

Providing entertainment to one of the largest markets in the world

Although the staid reputation of China might suggest otherwise, it is fast becoming one of the most important gaming markets in the world. The two companies have decided to launch a modified multiplayer online version of Call of Duty in an effort to expand the market for the game. It is of the first person shooter variety. A trailer has been released and many critics agree that there is potential to turn this into a real winning formula.

Consumers are understandably wondering whether the new version will be just like the real deal or whether they are going to get a modified Asian version. The countdown timer that was launched by Tencent ended on the 3rd of July. Now we are only waiting for the actual version of Call of Duty online. We already know that FPS is minded to promote a free-to-play business model which will perhaps be complemented by advertizing.
